The department of physical therapy and rehabilitation of Chung-Shan Medical University Hospital was first established in 1986. It was the first rehabilitation care unit of the medical institute in central -Taiwan. In total, there are 11 attending physicians in our department (including 3 associate professors and lecturers certificated by ministry of education). With integrative teams of different profession, we boast to provide the most comprehensive services of rehabilitation medicine. We offer as much as 45 outpatient appointments per week as well as newly-renovated wards for inpatient services.
Our physicians of physical medicine and rehabilitation specializes in multiple fields both clinically and academically, including neurogenic bladder dysfunction, speech and swallowing dysfunction, pediatric rehabilitation, early intervention of children with developmental retardation, sonography of musculoskeletal disease, nerve block procedures, sleep medicine, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation and fitness promotion, as well as conjoint outpatient clinics for pain.
