About Us
Established in 1997, our Emergency Department has grown alongside our university hospital’s new location and expanding role in community health. Today, our team includes 5 full-time faculty, 22 attending physicians, and 9 residents who collaborate across subspecialties to deliver seamless, patient-centered care 24/7.

Specialized Emergency Services
We provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment for:
Cardiopulmonary emergencies
Head and spinal injuries; fractures and burns
High-risk neonates and pediatric emergencies
Toxicology and drug adverse effect
Allergy/anaphylaxis and acute psychosis
Near-drowning, intoxication, and overdose
Sexual or domestic violence and intentional assaults
Major trauma resuscitation and time-critical conditions

Education, Research & EMS Partnership
We work closely with Taichung City EMS on training and disaster preparedness and maintain advanced standards of care for acute coronary syndrome, ischemic stroke, and major trauma (advanced-level accreditation in central Taiwan, 2010). Our department actively contributes to clinical research and provides structured training for residents and fellows.
