The Hepatobiliary and Gastrointestinal Surgical Department at Chung Shan Medical University Hospital treat patients experiencing a wide variety of problems requiring surgery – from benign diseases to complex cancers. - Integrated team-based care – Surgeons are part of the team of doctors who work together to solve patients’ problems. We constantly collaborate with other specialties in a multi multidisciplinary approach with gastroenterologist, oncologist, radiologist, pathologist, anesthesiologist, and nurses for patient care, research and inter-department collaboration project.

Future prospect
Our hospital has become one of the liver transplantation centers in Taiwan and we continue to provide the highest level of complex surgical care, comprehensive training for surgeons, and groundbreaking clinical research.
