Introduction – Medical Services and Training Programs
The Specialist of General Surgery established an exclusive medical team in July 2015, consisting of attending surgeons, nurse practitioners, surgical assistants, case managers, education trainers, and administrative coordinators to construct a comprehensive “medical, care, and education” triad model. Through the collaboration among doctors, nurses, and case managers, patients receive the most complete and continuous medical care from initial diagnosis through postoperative recovery.
Our major disease sites include the hepatobiliary, pancreatic, gastrointestinal, colorectal, and thyroid fields. We are devoted to developing and refining various treatment methods such as open surgery, laparoscopic surgery, da Vinci robotic surgery, single-incision and reduced-port techniques, NOTES (Natural Orifice Transluminal Endoscopic Surgery), HIPEC (Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy), as well as novel immunotherapy and cell therapy applications.
To maintain excellence and innovation, we actively organize training programs including surgical observation, hands-on training, international exchange programs, and minimally invasive surgery camps. These programs not only enhance clinical skills but also promote academic and cultural exchange among surgeons from Taiwan and abroad.
To stay at the forefront of technology and global trends, our team continuously engages in domestic and international academic activities and clinical exchanges with experts in various specialties to improve surgical proficiency and medical quality. Since 2016, we have been the team with the highest number of general surgical da Vinci robotic cases in Taiwan. Under continuous progress, we became the first in the nation to accomplish robotic single-incision surgeries in hepatobiliary, pancreatic, and gastrointestinal fields, making us a pioneer in the development of single-incision laparoscopic and robotic surgery in Taiwan.
