Our department was created in 1998 by Dr. Tsao, who was also the first head of the department.

Division of Allergy, Immunology and Rheumatology (AIR), Chung Shan Medical University Hospital, was founded in 1998 by Prof Gregory G.J. Tsay.

In Department of Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism, we treat lifestyle-related diseases such as diabetes, dyslipidemia (hyperlipidemia), obesity and hypertension, as well as atherosclerotic diseases.

Adhering to the hospital purpose of “Healing People, Treating Diseases, and Treating Hearts”, the Department of Nephrology is committed to the development of undergraduates.

The Division of Hepatobiliary and Gastroenterology was founded in 1976. In addition to outpatient clinics, inpatient services, special clinics and consultations, the doctors in our division have also conducted numerous therapeutic interventions.

The Division of Cardiology is in charge of the diagnosis and the treatment of cardiovascular-related disorders of the patients.

This Department cultivates doctors to become teachers of general medicine. We also have the specific ward of general medicine in which we emphasize a training environment of patient-centered medical care for residents, pgy trainees, and medical students.

The Chungshan Hospital was opened in Taichung Port Road in the 53rd year of the Republic of China. The Department of Internal Medicine has hired Taiwan University physicians Chen Bingquan and Wu Zhaoxin as directors. Eight years later, Wang Songxiu, a doctor graduated from Gao, took over.
