Historical Evolution 

Founded on July 1st, 2005, the Department of Integrative Chinese and Western Medicine is distinguished by the diagnostic and therapeutic combination of Traditional Chinese Medicine and modern evidence-based medicine. There are 7 attending physicians with Ph.D. degree or master degree respectively, trained by clinical Chinese and Western medicine are dedicated to providing personal and holistic Chinese medicine treatment and care in Daqing and Zhongxing branch for outpatient and inpatient consultation.  

Department Features 

This department combines both traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and modern medicine to provide various medical services of TCM. 

  1. Specialties for Outpatients 
    • TCM Internal Medicine- allergies, cancer symptoms management, cardiovascular disease, hypertension. 
    • Acupuncture – cerebrovascular accident (CVA), traumatic brain injury (TBI), spinal cord injury(SCI). 
    • TCM Orthopedics & Traumatology- chronic wound care, muscle pains, frozen shoulder, sciatica, sports injuries. 
    • TCM Gynecology- gynecological problems, postnatal care, menopause syndrome. 
    • TCM Pediatrics- dysplasia, visual impairment, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) 
  1. Featured medical services 
    • Special approach- laser acupuncture, cosmetic needling, acupotomy therapy, abdominal acupuncture, point embedding, herbal patch or paste, herbal drink. 
  1. Inpatient care with TCM 
    • TCM Inpatient consultation: cerebrovascular accident, traumatic brain injury (TBI), spinal cord injury(SCI), cancer symptoms management, shared care with oncology and rehabilitation. 
  1. Introducing advanced detecting instruments 
    • The Department has intruduced the use of Bio-energy Device (iFeel) , Meridian Energy Analysis Device (M.E.A.D), and Heart Rate Variability(HRV) analysis, and has developed non-invasive system health evaluation combined with new technologies to improve health outcome.
