Plastic Surgery in Chung Shan hospital started on 1987, and changed its tittle as “Plastic, Cosmetic and Reconstructive surgery” while Chung Shan Medical Hospital in Da-Qing area. Now, as Plastic Surgeons of Medical center, we have new missions, such as Burn treatment, hand surgeries of trauma and factory injuries, reconstructions for congenital anomaly, hand and neck cancer, breast cancer and cosmetic surgery and laser treatment for aging and beauty. Besides, we also expertise on complicated wounds management and lymphedema.
Facilities and faculties:
- Outpatients clinics: From Monday to Friday 8:30 – 17:00, any consultation for plastic surgery and wound managements
- Center for wound care and limbs edema: Special clinics for complicated wounds care and suggestions for limbs edema
- Burn Center(ICU): located on the 7th floor in Nuclear Medicine Building, in charge of all burn wound managements.
- Wards: on 9th floor in Nuclear Medicine Building, admission as general plastic surgeries.
Specialities:
- Microvascular free flap reconstruction: for any soft tissue deficits such as cancer ablations or trauma
- Hand Surgery: for initial management and secondary reconstruction after fingers and hand injuries
- Craniofacial reconstruction: Reconstruction for facial bone fracture, congenital anomaly, facial nerve palsy, and cosmetics as well.
- Skin cancer: Skin tumor management for benign tumors – lipoma, cysts and soft ganglion cyst; and malignant tumors – squamous cell carcinoma, basal cell carcinoma and melanoma.
- Nerve repair: Any nerve injuries caused by trauma or congenital reason, such as carpal tunnel syndrome release, neuroma excision, and nerve transfer for facial palsy and brachial palsy.
- Burn care: Minor and major burn wound managements.
- Lymphedema: Consultation for primary and secondary limb edema.
