2026 | Deepening Climate Governance and Continuing Third-Party Verification
Building on the sustainability management foundation established in 2024, Chung Shan Medical University Hospital continued to conduct its greenhouse gas inventory in accordance with ISO 14064-1:2018 in 2025 and once again completed third-party on-site verification. The Hospital also continued to undergo third-party assurance of its Sustainability Report, further strengthening the quality of sustainability disclosure and governance transparency.
In addition to maintaining the existing inventory framework, the Hospital expanded the scope of its greenhouse gas accounting in 2025 by disclosing Category 3: Indirect Greenhouse Gas Emissions from Transportation for the first time. This expansion extended carbon management beyond direct emissions and energy use to additional sources of indirect emissions, providing the Hospital with a more comprehensive understanding of its overall emissions profile. Through consecutive annual greenhouse gas inventories, independent verification, and expanded disclosure boundaries, the Hospital continues to enhance the maturity of its carbon management system and the credibility of its sustainability information. Verification results also serve as an important basis for identifying emission hotspots, advancing energy-saving and carbon-reduction measures, and planning the Hospital’s transition towards net-zero healthcare.
