The Department of Anatomical Pathology is organized into three main divisions: Surgical Pathology, Cytopathology, and Molecular Pathology. Our Molecular Pathology Laboratory is accredited by the Taiwan Society of Pathology. The primary mission of our department is to deliver accurate pathological diagnoses, enabling clinicians to develop personalized treatment plans for patients.
In alignment with the “Cancer Prevention Center – Comprehensive Cancer Care Quality Improvement Project” initiated by the Bureau of Health Promotion, we are dedicated to enhancing the quality of pathology reports, standardizing report formats, ensuring prompt notification of malignancies, and conducting peer reviews of pathological diagnoses.
By integrating the teaching and resources of the School of Medicine, our department is committed to excellence in clinical service, education, and medical research. We have also been recognized as a certified training hospital for anatomical pathology by the Department of Health, Executive Yuan, ROC. Our pathologists collaborate closely with clinical specialists to investigate disease mechanisms and progression, with the ultimate goal of ensuring that every patient receives the highest standard of care based on multidisciplinary discussions.
