The International Medical Service Center (IMSC) was established in May 2012 for the purpose to integrate three missions: International Medical Aid, Medical/ Paramedical Staff Training, and Medical Tourism. IMSC aims to cooperate with the government’s policy to provide medical care for the disadvantaged minorities and provide international medical aids for countries in need.

The IMSC serves to plan and promote the activities of international medical service and health hygiene of Chung Shan Medical University Hospital (CSMUH). Via the opportunities to participate in international aids, we hope to provide medical assistance, medical care techniques, clinical teaching, and medical knowledge throughout our partner countries.

  • International Medical Aid & Humanitarian Assistance:
IMSC endeavors to provide emergency relief and assistance in the aftermath of natural disasters, war, or ethnic conflict for our partner countries and elsewhere in the world. Our medical teams have offered medical assistance for local people, provided clinical training as well as technical exchanges for local practitioners in 11 areas, including Tuvalu, Northern India, Nepal, Guatemala, Panama, Honduras, Sao Tome and Principe, Maldives, Mongolia, Inner Mongolia, and Cambodia.
  • Specialist Medical Training:
IMSC is cooperating with the government to promote the policy of “international healthcare cooperation strategy alliance” and encouraging short-term medical training, IMSC provides training programs for medical personnel from partner countries with training and opportunities for continuing education. The staffs who visited IMSC for clinical observation and learning are able to gain Taiwan’s experience and acquire cutting-edge clinical skills to improve healthcare quality in their countries.
  • Internationalization of Medical Services (Medical Tourism):
IMSC provides preventive health checkup packages and featured medical services to international visitors with reasonable fee. We aim to promote Taiwan’s high quality and efficient medical service to the world.
  • Cooperate with implementation of the New Southbound Policy:
Meanwhile, in addition to continuously participate in the international medical assistance, IMSC has gradually transformed the New Southbound Countries international support from volunteer activities to the field of public health program and medical/paramedical training program. We hold workshop conferences, keynote speeches and clinical skills teaching in order to educate local medical personnel. Domestically, we continue to cooperate with related organizations for the purpose of training more medical personnel from countries of diplomatic relations and New Southbound-Policy-target countries. By means of passing on knowledge and clinical skills, we will train local talents relentlessly and benefit the well-being of people in more countries.
