Introduction<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To provide patients with more advanced and comprehensive medical services, Chung Shan Medical University Hospital established the da Vinci Minimally Invasive Surgery Center in July 2015. Over the past decade, the Center has successfully performed more than 4,000 da Vinci surgical procedures. By integrating experts from multiple surgical specialties and introducing the latest-generation da Vinci Xi and SP robotic systems, we have built a solid foundation for the development of minimally invasive robotic surgery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Center unites specialists across a broad spectrum of disciplines, including General Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Otorhinolaryngology (ENT), Urology, Colorectal Surgery, Thoracic Surgery, Breast Surgery, and Cardiovascular Surgery. Among them, the General Surgery Division has consistently ranked first in Taiwan for the number of da Vinci procedures performed since 2016, while the Obstetrics and Gynecology Division achieved second place nationally in 2024, continuing to strive toward becoming the national leader.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through this collaborative and multidisciplinary structure, we have established a comprehensive \u201cmedical, care, and education\u201d triad model, ensuring that every patient receives continuous and holistic care\u2014from preoperative evaluation and surgical intervention to postoperative recovery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to providing high-quality medical services, the Center is also dedicated to advancing clinical education and professional training programs. We offer observation, hands-on, and advanced fellowship opportunities for both domestic and international surgeons and healthcare professionals, fostering technical exchange, clinical excellence, and the cultivation of globally competent experts in minimally invasive and robotic surgery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As medicine continues to evolve and innovate, we uphold the core values of CSMUH \u2014 Precision Medicine, Smart Innovation, Holistic Care, and Sustainable Development. Guided by these principles, we remain committed to advancing surgical techniques, enhancing medical quality, and developing into an international training center for minimally invasive and robotic surgery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf\u3000In 2019, received the SNQ<\/strong> certification for ” Excellence in Single-Incision Minimally Invasive Surgery<\/strong> “
\u25cf\u3000In 2020, became the first in Taiwan to receive international certification as a “Robotic General Surgery Observation Center,” establishing themselves as a vital resource for the observation and study of da Vinci surgeries both locally and globally.
